May is one of my favorite months.....love the springy goodness all around! The sweet smelling lilacs fill my home with their magic, frogs and birds are singing, long days with lots of play. Yes it is a good month - oh and let's not forget Mother's Day and MY BIRTHDAY!!!! :) Yes today is MY birthday. Being a Mother is the greatest gift....
Oh it's hard many a days - but what a blessing - what a joy. When you can laugh and play with your kiddoes - it makes all those tough moments so totally worth it.
Yesterday was a low key - but perfect - Mother's Day. I woke up to my McDreamy making us all breakfast (coffee already made like it is every day). And we ALL ate a super yummy breakfast of Breakfast Burritos, together. Thanks honey!! Got a few of my favorites and he even wrote some sweet words for me (not a poem or a song - just a little sentiment he has been telling me since high school).
We (all but X-man) even played a little Spit which is always great fun.
So I thank my main man for spoiling me - for loving me - for putting up with me - and for the gift we share - our children.
I love YOU all around the world! :)
I thank my kiddoes for (mostly) getting along - and for (mostly) sticking around for the day so we could spend (most of) it together! I love you three more than you know!

Action Sports International
Not the most awesome photos - but proof that I finished my second 1/2 marathon this past Sunday (May 2nd). My official chip time was 2 hours 52 minutes and 26 seconds! I didn't prepare NEARLY enough for this run - like I hadn't ran in over a month and then I went out and ran a half marathon. I was able to run the first 11 miles and then had to walk/run the last 2 miles. But hey I finished - and I ran a lot more than I thought I would be able to. I have been pretty stiff - but today was a good day - still not feeling up to running - but give me another week and I should be ok. :)
If you live anywhere around the Lincoln area you really should consider running this run - the crowd support is just phenomenal. I have only ran this course so I don't really know how it compares to others - but it was an awesome first run for me and another awesome 2nd run!!!
Steve ran the full marathon - yeah he is a stud - I think it's just awesome that he is able to run it. His official chip time was 3:56:11. Go Steve!!!

Maui you have my heart.....
:) Love love love this place! Who wouldn't?!?!
Truly the best vacation we have ever had.
We played here every day for 5 days:
Our condo at the Maui Kai was wonderful. We will be staying their when we go back - oh yes we will be going back. It was steps from the ocean - like you step off the steps in to the sand - the sound of the waves as you fall asleep truly can't be beat. We ALL slept like babies.
Every morning we would wake up and hang out on our lanai - drinking coffee - looking for the whales - they were all over - it was awesome!! The picture below was taken from our lanai (not a zoom lens)
We went to The Feast at Lele - which was a terrific show - a must do if you find yourself in Maui! Worth every penny!
This is where it was located - outside on this beach - LOVE!!
We tried foods that we wouldn't normally have ordered because it is a set meal - a 5 course meal!!! We ate so much food (there is a reason it is called the FEAST at Lele) and it was all so very good. Even Xander tried every single thing that was presented (and he is one of the pickiest eaters)
The performances were so terrific - just a really cool night!
The Road to Hana was just beautiful - the scenery is really breath taking.
The snorkeling was just too cool - a first for me, Connor and Macey - and it was AWESOME!!! I almost chickened out and didn't go - I am so glad I did - I struggled at first getting the whole goggles to fit right and then they kept fogging up and I drank a little salt water - but I finally got it figured out and I loved it! So did the kids! (Xander just didn't have it figured out so he skipped it)
Xander loved the boogie boarding - so did Connor!
The whale watching was beyond cool - a baby whale and a mama came right up to the boat (too close for the crews taste). We saw LOTS of whales! So cool!
Truly the best! We LOVE Maui!
This is just one tree - a banyan tree - so flippin cool!!!
