Snails!!!

So last weekend Steve wanted to go run out at Platte River State Park - so Xander, Jake and I decided to tag along. While Steve ran we went for an adventure hike !!! Man did we have fun! The snails were THICK!!! It was awesome - they were everywhere - what a treasure. We had so much fun!!! (I think I had more fun than the boys)

Been awhile since....

...I posted a top 10 list - so for today my top 10 joys are:

1) A good run - with Xander on his scooter and Connor on his bike.

2) Macey's thoughtfulness and my beautiful new birdbath.

3) Steve listens.

4) The wonderful wonderful smells of spring - the lilacs are in full bloom and my house smells wonderful!!!


5) Growth and change.

6) My family.

7) Lovin Duffy - makes me want to DANCE!! (secretly when no one is around I do)

8) My new perfume - euphoria - mmmm yum!!!

9) Excitment of summer break coming...only 4 days of school left!

10) My creative gifts - I am REALLY REALLY enjoying the creative process lately - now if I could just get that silver order I would be doin even better!!!!

Jodi's Talent

How cool is this - a very awesome personalized birthday gift - all handmade by my sister Jodi! So sweet - and the box has a bunch of monogram cards (from the Feeling Scrappy class we took). And the little box holds handmade sticker tags!!! Such a cool gift. Oh and cards made by Abby - my favorite - a really adorable one that says good dreams come true - love it. Thank you guys!!!

wow - I remember when I was younger and that seemed so old. I don't feel so old. :) It was a good day. Jayne came over to scrapbook - what a great way to spend a birthday. I got two pages of Abby done. I will post them tomarrow.

I did it!!!!

I did! I actually ran my first half marathon this morning - the Lincoln half marathon and beat my goal (which was 14 minute miles and I did them in under 12 - woohoo!!!!!). I am so excited to say I ran the entire 13.1 miles without having to walk. I wasn't sure I would be able to run it all, but I did. It was a great course and very well put together. The volunteers were awesome - man it takes a TON to pull one of these runs off - there were around 6000 runners - crazy! The crowd support was fantastic which helped me in those moments of doubt! I really did enjoy myself and I am so excited I decided to go for it.....
