I used another Creative Scrappers Sketch - this time #108 for this layout:

Love these papers - perfect for our little peas - they are 9 now - wow time flies!!!

And yet another Creative Scrapper's sketch - this time their Readers Reveal by Jana Eubank (she is so wonderfully talented - love her sketches and her beautiful pages!!!)

12 of 12: August

I have this friend Lee who is most generous over at her blog with all these wonderful ideas and discoveries she runs across.  She doesn't keep them to herself - she shares all these gems with us her loyal readers...
She shares her 12 of 12 each month and I just love it.  So I am starting my 12 of 12 in August -  I may be a little late - but better late than never....So 12 photos on the 12th of each month - just a little peak into our daily life...nothing to exciting....but wonderful all the same.  This is my baby step back into scrapping....
Enjoy!!

This is what we woke up to yesterday - all windows in the house - turned out out be a scorching hot humid day...high of 97 with a peak at 97% with humidity...yeeuck!!  Kids stayed inside at recess because of the heat index.  Probably a good thing.

I discovered above window stumbling down to get my first cup of coffee....can't function without it - Dunkin Donuts Brand with Skinny Carmel Macchiato creamer....the first cup of many cups throughout my day.

This fun free creative class started - even the front page looks fun - hopefully this will inspire me to get creative...I need it desperately!

This photo is so crappy but the item in the photo makes me so happy!!  I have wanted one of these cute vintage kitchen carts for some time now.  I bid on them every so often on ebay - but I am cheap and kept getting out bid - well I guess it's because this is the one that was meant for me....it arrived yesterday.  I put it together and made room for it in my studio - adorable!!!

Speaking of adorable - these little sweeties just make me smile....

This spot looked lonely - it's kind of lonely here all day now that the kids are back to school....
But I adore this this little corner - it's such a beautiful spot.

What's on your reading list???  This is my stack next to the bathtub.  Really loving Eat Pray Love.

With all this free time on my hands I guess I could clean up the kids room - but nah - they are old enough - I think chores need to be done....

Now the kids are home...and this is where you will find this little man most days right after snack time (and often times before).  I hate the power these games have over my boys......

Day finished with a little mud mask time...not just her but me and Connor also.  Connor threatened me within an inch of my life if I took a photo of him - so I didn't (not because I didn't try but he was too fast for me).  :)

Just an ordinary average day.....

Wordless Wednesday: Wish I Was There....

Sad...

..that I haven't scrapbooked since February or March.  Not one single page.  :(  This past winter/spring I moved all of my scrapbooking supplies off of my desk and replaced them with my jewelry supplies so I could create more freely. But this cut off the creative scrapbooking energy!  I am not even kidding.  I have stayed busy enough with jewelry that I haven't missed it too much - but I have SOOOOOOOOO many photos to scrap - all of Maui, all of Montana and Wyoming, Meg's graduation...so much to get done.
So I need some easy challenges to get me back in the rhythm.  Any suggestions???  And challenges from you to me?  :)

I have decided I need two desks - one for scrappin and one for jewelry - then I can work on both in one day without having to clear one of the other projects off.  I need to "re-do" the studio.

Here is my idea file:

Sticking with these colors:

Aqua, red, green and black and the walls will stay yellow for now....

I asked my dad if I could have this table some time ago - it was just sitting in their laundry room holding paint cans, etc....a storage work table.

I finally had room to bring it back with me - it's adorable - and it has two leaves and adorable legs.

It's is bad shape right now but I am planning on stripping it and thinking of painting it red or aqua or green or black - what do you think????  This will be the jewelry table.

Then I have to come up with a plan to fit in:

My current desk - which will be the scrap desk:

My bookshelves:

I would really love a comfy chair to sit in this corner.  For a while I stole this chair from our living room set to keep in here - but we really needed the extra seating in our living room - so now this corner stores baskets and bins and their is no comfy seating for hubby to come visit me while I am working.  I hate it.

As silly as it sounds I am thinking of maybe adding this:

Super cheap and they are rather comfy - we'll see.  It's either that or this:

:)  Or neither - just need something affordable and something comfy!

Want art work like this:

The Little Heart Collector Print from Carambatack

Forget Not Print from Mae Chevrette

Cala print by Joleyn

I really want a collection of lanterns similar to these:

Above from Bird in Hand  Below from Lackluster Co.

Really would love fun bead and embellishment storage like this From DK General Store:

I also need a storage cabinet of some sort with doors or drawers to hide supplies I don't use all the time.  I kind of like these:

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE it if you have any tips or photos of things you think of that would look good in the re-organized/re-prettied studio.  It's so fun to plan and collect ideas!

I think that is it for today - again thanks for sticking with me to the end.....:)

Family makes the world go 'round...

(The above picture so cracks me up - me, my sister Jamie, my cousin Meg rockin out hard (because apparently that's what we did in the 80's) and my sister Jodi looks like the goodie-too-shoes - who is thinking "Oh I am so gonna tell mom and dad")

After our weekend in Sheridan we headed to my home town - Miles City.  I love going home - staying my parents is so wonderfully relaxing.  I love sipping coffee on my parents deck - so nice - even when it's hot their swing in the shade is dreamy.  Spending time with my parents, grandma, aunt, cousin, sister, bil and nieces is always a wonderful time.
I wish I would have had more time for visiting while I was home (I think the kids got a little bored with me working so much).  I did a lot of jewelry making - a last minute rush to be fully "stocked" for my first trunk show.  It was a very successful show.  I loved it.  (Here's where I hang my head and whisper)  Man was I unorganized.  I learned many a lessons.  Like:
*Don't forget to get change.
*Good lighting is essential.
*Price and label pieces as I make them to save lots of stress and worry later.
*Better signage.
*Need a better display system.....
Really I could do a whole blog post on tips for a better trunk show...hmmm...maybe one for a future Star Hitched wagon blog post.  But over all a successful show - had lots of help that I REALLY appreciated (Mom and Jodi's baking, Meg pricing, mom running to get change, Jodi's organizing and "ringing" people up)

After 5 days in MC we all headed to Ennis to stay with my sister and her fam - and to celebrate her birthday - 80's style.  What a blast.

Yeah we are cool - we know it.  The outfits cracked me up - big huge bright plastic jewelry, mesh shirt, pegged jeans, big hair, side ponies, multi-layered socks, pink shirt and blazers for boys, lots of bright makeup.

The rest of the week was spent enjoying each other's company and the beautiful scenery around Ennis.  We told ghost stories around the camp fire (ok mom and Carol and the kids did - oh how cute they were), Jamie and Dad did a little deck dancing (pictures below) - really just having a wonderful time.  I love Ennis!!  (oh and I won a 50/50 pot at the Ennis 4th of July parade - woohoo)

Above - Dad and Jamie deck dancing and singing to a little Lady Antebellum - hilarious.  This is why I love my family - never a dull moment.

We did get to spend some time in Virginia and Nevada City - it's such a wonderful place.

 My beautiful auntie Carol!!

I love being with my family - the people I can laugh with - those who think I am funny when no one else does.  We love lots and laugh lots!  These are my people......I love you and miss you guys.....

More photos in and around Ennis:

Thank for sticking with me for that long - it's so hard to weed out images when you take well over 1000 photos - especially when they are such great memories/moments or breathtaking scenery....
